I do know most of the parts have quite prominent parting lines, and many sprue attachment points are large or in very visible locations. So how would you deal with these issues on pre-plated parts? Also, as you know a lot about "T"s, you know that the polished brass isn't
how a lot of them were built. Many of those shiny parts were often just painted. (But, I do agree they kind of cheaped-out - and a lot of builders would expect plated parts in any model car kit).
