personally, I use super glue on any joints that will require filler and eventual painting. Any type of solvent glue will more than likely cause problems with ghost lines etc. Stay away from any filler your hobby shop sells, or any other single stage filler for that matter.

They contain solvents which react with the plastic, and will almost always without fail leave ghost lines. Solvent based paints will make the problem even worse. The benefits of using a two stage glaze putty such as Eurosoft have been widely written about. The buy in is a little higher, but it does last you years if properly stored.
