I have some tires that I can't recall where they came from, but they have double white lines on the sidewall. What 'era' would they be from?? Thanks. *NM*
Double white lines would be from around the late '60's very early '70's era. My dad had double white lines on his brand new '71 Chevy Bel Air. The older reissue AMT '66 Riveria kit had them. The "masterpiece" series prebuilt version had them as well. *NM*
I remember seeing pictures of brand new cars in 1970 having the 2 stripe whites. I have an original 1970 Dodge Coronet dealer brochure and they show a new Coronet 500 with those tires..........*PIC*..........
A LOT of Mopars in literature from that ra show the twin white stripe tires. I wish there was a good source for these. Maybe Round 2 could include some done from their new Polyglas tires in a future kit release, and then maybe offer a parts pack. I have a...
Are the double white lines an insert in the tire? If they are, those tires were in the '66 Buick Riviera by AMT... Here's a picture showing the tire portion quite clearly, the insert is NOT the double white lines that comes in the kit. That insert is a flat one from the... *PIC*

All these guys are on the money, Dad ordered new 70 CST/10, orange and white, ordered L78/15 tires over standard G78/15, came in they were double pinstripe w/w and looked good! *NM*
