First I want to say a big 'THANK YOU' for all who helped with parts and ideas. Revell 1968 Charger. Mostly kit. I did use Fireball Modelworks resin carbs and intake. Also added a Replica's and Miniatures Accel coil. Valve covers are 3D printed from Shapeways. Rear slapper bars are scratchbuilt. Paint is Bright Red (a spring color for the '68's). I added the trim for the vinyl top. Vinyl top is Tamiya Matt Black spray. First coat for color and then I backed the can way back to get some texture. Tamiya clear polished out. I used the raised rear end pieces from the drag version of the kit. Rear tires are from my parts box and I haven't a clue where they are from. They are solid vinyl with Goodyear Sports Car Special on the sidewall. The inspiration for this build came from Nick's Garage on Youtube. He had a '68 Charger in this color combo and I just fell in love with it! The back story for this car is a guy wanted a street racer. Didn't have enough $$$ for a new car. So he searched the used car lots until he found a low mileage Charger with a 440 in it. He bought a Six Pack setup from his local Mopar dealer and over a few weekends he and his buddies installed it along with some other goodies for the street. As always, comments and questions welcomed!
