And it's rather academic since I can't drive any more. But you asked, so.....
Either the 1974 Cortina which I kept for 25 years or so, or the '84 Suzuki Swift I inherited from an aunt, with only 19,000km after 21 years!.
The Cortina got A-pillar rust, but was sold for restoration.
The Suzy's still in the wider family, but needs a new gearbox. I've no idea HOW my niece broke first gear.....)
What else did I have?
The '86 Ford Laser GL 5 door (Mazda 323 clone) which was great, especially once I had the suspension reworked. Still holds the unofficial lap record for the Bannockburn roundabout, according to my son! BUT the ignition black box gradually died, leaving me stranded hundreds of kilometres from home too many times.
The '05 Mazda 3 Maxx Sport. I tried to like it, but it just felt too big and heavy and hard to see out of. I thought I'd get used to it, but no.
I've written about the Cortina online.
