I find the tail lights or the glass are missing. *NM*

Sadly funny, but oh, so true. Any kit of that vintage should be opened, inspected, and advertised as to its actual condition.

Wow, is MPC's '76 Ventura kit super rare?! One I was watching sold last night for $174 for a sealed kit! Holy styrene Batman!
Just think of it as two and a half Senna McLaren kits. *NM*
Looks like two bidders got into a bidding war, they accounted for most of the 20 bids. Whenever that happens, the price goes through the roof. Both of them have high feedback numbers, you’d think they’d know better. *NM*
No way of knowing if bidders and sellers are talking behind the scenes.
Actually, that happens often. With more of an item available, and the high bidder now having one, naturally the later sales will be at lower prices *NM*
Which is why you sit on it a bit longer, which is a different subject than what we are discussing here. *NM*
They must really want one with a tire stuck to the middle of the windshield! *NM*

The usual phrase with 1:1 cars is "rust free", which really means "no charge for the rust" *NM*
I understand what you are saying.....but the vintage kits bought that I know are factory sealed.....will stay that way.....
Seems alot of vendors are selling as is or not sure its complete and know nothing about them, were bought at a auction, estate sale, or selling for a friend, yet they know how to list them over priced. *NM*
Caveat Emptor
I find the tail lights or the glass are missing. *NM*
And the winning bidder didn't bid prior to the last minute. *NM*
Really the only way to avoid getting pulled into a bidding war. Bid as much as you can realistically stand or afford in the last seconds. You will still miss some, but not get caught in the bidding fever. *NM*
Yes, those "unlisted bids" can really sneak up on you... LOL I've bid horrendous amounts on stuff I REALLY wanted to have only to win the auction for $1. more than the last bid...
I have a sealed mint kit......maybe time to sell...... *NM*
Are you one of those who collects models to resell at higher price? Not a problem but there are better ways of investing one's money. *NM*
I found the kit in a hardware store in 1980....knew it was worth the $2 asking.....not much interest in the kit....but I do like mint old stuff.......the point is which do I want more???? *PIC*
Good choice. *NM*
Got rid of all my model car "stuff" about 3 years ago, EXCEPT, my MINT AMT/MPC 1928 Ford Tudor!! Had 5 other ones, but all were "started", still, l got good prices for 'em though. *NM*
made from unobtainium? *NM*
hope the buyer keeps it sealed then
I built one off them back in the day, with the GTO stripes, mags and all, Friend had one insome model kits he was unloading about five years ago. pretty reasonable price too. *NM*
