  • I've always wanted to scratch up an airboat, they are very popular in my area of Florida, and our county Sheriff has at least one. I just wish I could find a 1/25 Lycoming aircraft engine...
    • As much as people hate to hear it, the Corvair would be "close enough". Most all of the airboat engine suppliers are hawking the Chevy LS these days.
      • I do see a lot of airboats powered by SBC engines, but the hard core guys still like the aircraft engine. Most are Lycoming, but there are a few Continentals and even see an old Franklin now and then *NM*
