- How come we can get a big '65 or '66 Chevy (Impala), Buick (wildcat) and Pontiac (2+2), but no big Olds from AMT?? *NM*
- Think I'd better start tidying my bench for that 24 hour build. *PIC*
- Air Brush question please. I decanted Tamiya semi-gloss black and sprayed it through my AB. The finish of the black is flatter, less shine, than when I spray straight from the can. Is this normal or am I using the AB incorrectly in some way? Thanks. *NM*
- Are Model Martin and Aardvark Models still in business? *NM*
- Ideas: If you were going to upgrade the AMT 63 Corvette chassis, what would you use?

- Hey guys I am humbling myself and asking for help. I am in need of the rear glass for the Revell or Revell/Monogram Viper GTS kit (snap tite version may fit also but not sure).
- Here's another old build of mine, built in '92, the Monogram 1/24 Bugatti Royale Double Berlin......
- The March Scale Auto has an article on building a detailed "Starsky and Hutch" Torino. The info is interesting and useful even if you're not building that exact car.
- Another Model Mag: SCALE MODEL LIFE by Bruce Kimball. Very good step-by-step builds/reviews. Excellent PIX, professionally done. *NM*

- How can a brand new unopened kit come to me from Ukraine for $10.50 shipping and a single $1.99 bumper cost $30.84 shipping from the USA to Canada???
- Starliner Flyer *PIC*
- Hey, Scott Liggett.... the hood and scoop arrived today. Thanks so much! Can't wait to start mocking it up on the Barracuda and see what it looks like. *NM*
- John, in case you didn't know, there's a product for the walls, called 'Gatorboard" which appears to be more rigid than standard foamcore and easier to use than MDF, available from art supply stores *NM*
- More on my Bimota Tesi 1D...
- Random older model post *PIC*
- Australia Day build for 26 January. (Pics).
- Somewhat O/T..... While out running a few errands earlier, I stopped in at the local antique mall... Picked up a kit just because I've always been fascinated with the design of this plane..... *PIC*
- About the going rate.......the kits have been around for 50 years.....but decent. *NM*
- That's a very good kit. I built one years ago. I was impressed with the detailed coockpit.
- I've always liked that plane too... Which there was a 1/25th offering. *NM*
- The real plane was a hand full to fly. Big prop and small wings resulted in it wanting to roll if not paid attention to. *NM*
- IIRC they did the more obscure planes... never had one, they were the 'premium' brand and a lot more than my allowance was buying *NM*
- WOW,good deal,I've the Testors/Hawk 1/48 kit, copyright 1960,very basic detail, but also a copy of the Williams 1/32 kit instructions, wow, talk about extra detail!!!,didn't really notice the extra detail till now, gotta find me a Williams kit,is the Testors/Hawk the old Pyro?. *NM*
- Williams Brothers is still in business last I checked, but they're now in Texas! Forgot which city east of Austin they moved to. Bastrop? Taylor?
- You chose wisely! I got the Lindbergh ex-Pyro one, much simpler, but it was intended as a photo prop, then I thought about improving the engine, etc, etc...then back in the box it goes... *NM*
- On cars with white interiors, a majority of the time, what color would the carpet be?? Black? Body color? Or what?? *NM*
- Mopars were almost always black. But a special order was possible. *NM*
- On GM cars I remember, the dash and carpet could be blue, red, black, aqua, whatever. Door panels might be white above, color or carpet lower. Made for some striking interiors! *NM*
- My '72 Coupe de Ville had white leather. Dash, steering wheel, kick panels (with litter basket!) all carpet and hat shelf were blue... *PIC*
- Old car brochures often list the colours available. *LINK*
- If this helps, my 1972 442 was orange body. The interior had white seats and door panels. The dash, carpet and package tray were black. My 1970 Coronet 440 body was red. White seats and door panels, black dash, carpet & package tray. Both cars same interior colors *NM*
- I had a 77 Pontian T/A, white seats, white door panels, black carpet and package tray. *NM*
- Depends on the body color
- And then there was the 68 Satellite my Dad had, white seats and green carpet with a white body! Looked really good though. *NM*
- Imagine that. Dodge and Kia tie for first at JD Power *LINK* *PIC*

- Very interesting...the chassis pan on my brand new AMT '66 Buck Wild Cat is not as long as the body. Only one set of pins will fit at a time, and it looks like the rear are the more accurate. Anybody else run into this situation?? *NM*
- Looking at Nicks Sunday photos below reminded me of something. In the late'70's and early '80's I was reading a lot of books about Musclecars and I still wonder what "Candymatic" means in reference to the Ramchargers? Why Candy? *NM*
- Thanks guys for the comments. Even better is to see all the pickup builds you posted above....I had no idea so many of you had built so many pickup models. Pickup are hot in the kit making world right now, guess I shouldn't so surprised, But I am! Great work, all!!! *NM*
- Thanks Marty! Good memories here, too. Wanted to do another comparo article on the 3rd gen 1982-83 Camaro kits that came out back then from MPC, AMT-Ertl, Revell, and Monogram...but it never got off the ground....TIM *NM*
- The AMT '59 Mercury would (theoretically) have this engine
- I feel like a crank, but... this article shows how far MT has fallen
- Help needed! I recently purchased the AMT 70 1/2 Camaro and I didn't notice it was missing the hood. Does anybody make a hood to kit that model? *NM*
- I like all of them! *NM*
- I just did something I have never done
- More than I dare count. *NM*
- Yes *NM*
- Never did but I think I would have been a better person if I had. Sometime we need to let all the frustration out and throughing a model against the wall is much better than letting it build up inside. My wife says she doesn't want to be anywhere near me when I blow!!!! *NM*
- yep! *NM*
- Many times, Len. And cuss a blue streak when it happens. Wife says to invent some new cuss words--she's getting bored... *NM*
- Re: Yes I had crushed them in my hand a couple of times if I recall. *NM*
- Yep, luckily its been awhile ago. *NM*
- Not yet... but I have been tempted on more than a couple of occasions! *NM*
- I do a lot of diecast, their heavy the all would have been stuck in the drywall mocking me. *NM*
- Never have. I just put it back in the box and start something else, maybe on the RR instead. *NM*
- I have a very short fuse too..Years ago someone gave me a foam brick to throw at the wall or anyone I saw..Not the same but does let out some fumes..Had a Indian friend who said to tie a sock on a stick and beat on an object for 10 minutes..It worked, you sweat and tears
- Yes, just recently. *NM*
- nope *NM*
- One time. Had saved paper route tip $ for an Avanti kit, back when it was new. Had my best spray paint job ever. Finalizing the build and discovered I had a foreign substance on my fingers and it ruined the doors. Crushed that puppy with a left fist!! *NM*
- OMG... Several have reached the launching pad, others have survived by someone who wants to take on my curse. *NM*
- What a shame, what a beautiful car! *PIC*
- Tempted, but no. Back in the box, on the shelf fight with it another day. *NM*
- For those of you that like a different drag racer. Here's what to do with the... *LINK* *PIC*
- Here's some Fire Dept Pickups PICS
- AMT White Road Boss, how good of a kit is it? Not so much about fidelity, but in being able to be built without having to alter anything just to build the kit. *NM*
- A couple more pickups I forgot... *PICS*
- Pickups? I'll play with a few early Fords. (PICS)
- Sunday photos.................................................................................................PICS
- Lordy, Bruce. That is one sweet build. Body color is perfect. *NM*
- Amen to that... *NM*
- Did you apply the Molotow over bare plastic or right over the existing chrome? *NM*
- Yes sir, applied with a brush. *NM*
- Man you guys are killing it! So many NICE Trucks! *NM*
- My only two built trucks. Both built when the kits were first issued. PICs
- Trucks?
- My trucks
- Cool builds Marty, love the Mooneyes and 37 Rat Trap trucks! *NM*
- Gorgeous car! *NM*
- Nice! *NM*
- Yeah, that makes sense. It's probably not a wise idea to drive an old car as a daily due to no crumple zones, air bags, anti-lock brakes, mpg, reliability, etc. I wouldn't either. *NM*
- Pickups...
- IIRC this was designed around the current-generation Chevy trucks. ...
- Vertical bricks are sometimes used over windows or door openings. Also keep in mind there are several different ways to lay brick, so different proportions of brick would be handy for projects. *NM* *LINK* *PIC*
- Pickups eh? Well, I have a lot in progress but only 2 done (PICS)
- Here are a couple I finished in the last few days. PICs
- I almost missed it! Here are my pickups. PICs

- Thanks to all that posted your truck builds, everyone is awesome. *NM*
- More of my pickups! I snapped some pics with my phone
- Some super nice pickups here tonight. I think I looked at all of them, kudos to everybody who posted their Pickups tonight!!! *NM*
- I had a project Pinto wagon in my collection when I sold it. I've often wondered what happened to it and many of my other projects that Tom bought. *NM*
- Pickups.
- That's just pure sweetness !!! *NM*
- Some of my pickups...
- Great trucks everyone. I can play but I only have one I built back in the late seventies to replicate my dads truck. It has a metal fifth wheel in the bed as we pulled a fifth wheel camper. *NM* *PIC*

- Nice collection of pickups! *NM*
- Those are some really cool pickups! *NM*

- Show cars of the '60's, '70's and '80's. *LINK*
- The Chevy is awesome! *NM*
- my only some what trucks right now!....pics
- By custom, I mean a decal that would replicate the trim on this car, as the trim on my Bonneville kit is trashed, and my skills aren't good enough to make some. And Keith Marks no longer 'makes' any new decals. *NM* *PIC*
- The only pick up I have a picture of..... *PIC*
- That Karmann Ghia pickup actually looks like something that could have been produced--very neat! *NM*
- Really like the "normal" look of the first one *NM*
- Wow! *NM*
- Wow Nice build again Scott! *NM*
- The El Camino-style Plymouth is pretty neat *NM*

- OFF THE BENCH... I will call this done for now until I decide if I'm going to do another one. 65 Falcon "WILD CHILD". Decals were cracking everywhere got them together but I'm not a happy camper. I'll re-do with a set of Lucas decals. PICS and thanks for looking
