Archive 1 2 3 4 5 Message Index Who's hungry for ideas??? Well then, just sit back and dig into this week's batch of Friday Evening Randomness.... ENJOY!!!!!! *PICS* Re: Another great selection of photos tonight Marty, and many thanks! *NM* Hey Revell!! Are we EVER gonna see the 30 Model A?? *NM* *PIC* I don't think it's a priority with the Germans...... *NM* Just order one from Drag City Casting. Top quality and designed to fit. *NM* That black 67 Ventura is incredibly straight! *NM* So nice to see a STOCK '57 150 2-door *NM* Looking for history of "Auto Replicas" Nice to see you here again Dave. Been wondering about you. *NM* Thanks! I'm on every day, but not always with something to say. Re: Looking for history of "Auto Replicas" Dave, I was thinking of your post all day (I had to go to a dental appointment)... Looked up my old lists and I have 1001, 1002 (the Frazer-Nash TT) and 1003 in my collection. I also just looked up my "Book of Models" numbers 1 to 3 and no further information found. *PIC* That picture is the exact kit I just bought off eBay! *NM* Did you see my post above, it lists all six with pictures of five, if you click on the photo, or am I missing something here? *NM* Yes. My apologies for not acknowledging. I already saved the pics! *NM* There are some useful pics of a 1:12 replica in the link in my post below if you are collecting reference material for the #1006. *NM* Thanks for jogging my memory Raymond! The pic of #1006 Brescia Bugatti kit parts seems to be missing the side panel(s) shown in the box art at the driver/mechanic cockpit. Are they still in the box? If not, *LINK* *PIC* Note the link in my post above includes pics from left and right front 3/4, above the cockpit/dash, and the underside of the 1:12 replica. *NM* Yes, when I bid on that one, I had that same concern. Great news! If you haven't already checked the 1:12 replica pics in the link I posted you may want to take a look. There are a few views that could be helpful in building your 1:24. *NM* The Constellation is such a beautiful airplane. *NM* There were a few in flying condition - the number seems to be dwindling Back in the 50's and 60's the Air Force used them for reconnaisance. There was a whole squadron of them at Otis Air Force Base on Cape Cod. They were RC-121's and had radar domes on the top and on the belly of the fuselage. *NM* Which completely ruined the lines of this sleek design. *NM* I don't know--I always thought the EC-121s were great looking. *PIC* Not my cup of tea but still better than the one that got scattered in the Grand Canyon June 30, 1956 That Heller Connie 1/72nd kit was also issued with TWA decals & the Oz aftermarket included QANTAS decals as well, nice big piece of plastic........lol. *NM* Andy, I just finished(last week)putting together the Heller L74 Constellation kit. That kit just "fell" together, with ZERO filler of any kind. I just about fell out of my chair!! Oh, and just a teeny, tiny bit of "flash"!! Loved that kit. Needed LOTS of modeling clay and Re: How 'bout some pics Boomer? *NM* Not always - our local “Super Connie” *LINK* *PIC* Thanks for the 60 Ford 4x4 pic, made up my mind! I scored one on the Bay last week, supposed to be here Friday! And it will be built very similar to that pic! *NM* 1 2 3 4 5
