Cragars were popular on the front. The rears were usually steel open wheels as Cragars were weak and broke easily when abused.
You will need to find, or build some hedders. Exhaust can end just in front of the axle.
Find some traction bars as FORD leaf springs were well known for wheel hop.
A heavy car with a BB would fall somewhere around E/S with a 4 speed, or E/SA
Tires were limited to max. 7" wide 'cheater' slicks.
