Is a primer gray, relatively little overspray, but it is a black/silver 2-tone, so the silver might be a little hard to pick off. Some factory spray sound deadener in the wheelwells.
When they retooled the Norwood, OH body shop, they had converted to robotic painting and the turbo 'bells' to support basecoat/clearcoat. It was still a solvent finish, vs. the water base in Cali.
They closed Norwood only months after I ordered the car, to concentrate all the F-Body production in Van Nuys. There have been Norwood plant reunions with the hourlys before, but always found out about them too late.
I'm going to grab my car this PM to bring it home for some fun in the rare patch of good weather we are having now, and I'll see if I can get a shot or two.
