• Does anyone know what’s going on with the USPS? Let me explain.
  • All USPS stuff has been slow, John. We had a bill sent to us from one part of town to our part of town. It took a week. Don't ask me where it went during that time. I don't know. And we were only about 4 miles apart. *NM*
    • I haven’t had a magazine come for me since late last summer. It’s more than just being slow. *NM*
      • I've been getting Hemmings Classic Car and Consumer Reports pretty regularly, and have both February issues already *NM*
        • If those come straight to Canada, they don’t count for my purposes. *NM*

    • That sucks as I have four subscriptions and I’m getting nothing. Hemings is bout to expire and it won’t be renewed.. *NM*
  • All my magazine subs are now digital, and it's worked out great. No delays. Just a thought. ( I know some prefer a hard copy.) *NM*
    • I’m on the fence whether to change and unfortunately, two of my subscriptions aren’t available digitally. *NM*
  • John have you contacted your magazine customer service to make sure they have the new address and not still sending to your old US mail box, it might getting full?? *NM*

  • USPS has one of worlds largest work forces. They are having an incredible problem with people out with covid. I am very careful with handling my mail. If it not important I leave in in a basket by the door for a couple of days before dealing with it. *NM*
    • I am guessing you are not an MD? Leaving stuff out for a couple of days doesn't really do much of anything. *NM*

      • Covid-19 can live on surfaces for several days. The mutated more contagious strains maybe even longer.... *NM*
      • Not an MD, but one of my nieces is an RN. During periods of shortage of PPE her nursing staff wears an N95 mask for a day, then puts it in a paper bag (not plastic, it prevents drying) for at least three days to allow the virus viability to expire, recycling 4 or more in

  • Some of my hobby magazines have been erratic (delivery-wise), but what is like clockwork are all the housekeeping and decorating and cooking and clothing subscriptions my wife had . . . that I've tried to cancel but they refuse to give up the gravy train! And they . . .
    • We had a similar problem when my Mom passed in ‘06 and an Aunt in ‘12. They would just not stop. *NM*
  • USPS also does NOT forward magazines anymore, IIRC. *NM*
    • The same day that I closed my old box, I have my mail in it forwarded at my expense and I changed my address fir my subscriptions. *NM*
  • What's their incentive to do a good job and do it right? None. *NM*

      • It's almost impossible to get fired in the USA if you have a Federal job. *NM*
