Good way to start the day *NM*
Great PICS as usual Nick! *NM*
Ain't that "Connie" purty? Gotta paint mine, when the weather gets a little warmer. Also, purple, is my favorite color. See ya! *NM*
Like the Constillation, I cant believe that earlier I watched some youtube on the Lincoln Futura and here is one posted. Cant tell if it has no canopy or just a cut down windshield. *NM*
Digital art... *LINK*
Thanks for posting Nick. That TWA pic reminds me of the end of American Graffitti when Kurt was leaving for college. *NM*
Thanks for the 60 Ford 4x4 pic, made up my mind! I scored one on the Bay last week, supposed to be here Friday! And it will be built very similar to that pic! *NM*
The Constellation is such a beautiful airplane. *NM*
There were a few in flying condition - the number seems to be dwindling
Back in the 50's and 60's the Air Force used them for reconnaisance. There was a whole squadron of them at Otis Air Force Base on Cape Cod. They were RC-121's and had radar domes on the top and on the belly of the fuselage. *NM*
Which completely ruined the lines of this sleek design. *NM*
I don't know--I always thought the EC-121s were great looking. *PIC*
Not my cup of tea but still better than the one that got scattered in the Grand Canyon June 30, 1956
That Heller Connie 1/72nd kit was also issued with TWA decals & the Oz aftermarket included QANTAS decals as well, nice big piece of plastic........lol. *NM*
Not always - our local “Super Connie” *LINK* *PIC*
