• Was playing around this weekend with a couple of 1/32 scale cars--the Lindberg '74 Buick Regal and Monogram's late '70s Malibu police car. They are NOT the same scale!!
  • Lots of stuff, especially from the '70s, was "flexible scale". It's not like the kids they were marketed to were going to measure. Big question is, which one is actually 1/32? Might be neither. *NM*
  • Yep, I have one of the 1/32 lindberg Grand Ams and its seems to fall somewhere between 1/32 and 1/43, havent scaled it but seems to be more llke 1/36’ish. *NM*
    • Were they aiming for model RR folks - isn't that 1/35-6 a common scale? *NM*

  • Yeah, I used to race 1/32 slot cars, within the last 10 years, very accurate. Those Lindbergs are waaaaay smaller. The scales even differ from each other on the Lindberg Century, ElCamino, Monte Carlo, Grand Prix etc. No consistency. Strange. *NM*
  • No, they're not, but I'm beginning to think 1/32 is underrated as fun, simple builds. Makes me wish I'd bought more of them in the 80s when they were relatively cheap and the decals were fresh! *NM*
